Privacy Policy
The short version: OnceSwipe does not collect any data. Your photos and videos never leave your phone because of us. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
Who we are
OnceSwipe is made by Pivot & Anchor Private Limited (“Pivot & Anchor”, “we”). You can reach us at tech@pivotandanchor.com.
What the app reads
With your permission, OnceSwipe reads your photo library on your device so you can review, delete and shrink photos and videos. It works out file sizes, and finds duplicates, similar shots and blurry photos by looking at small thumbnails, all on the phone itself.
If you give limited access, OnceSwipe only sees the photos you chose. You can change this at any time in your phone’s settings.
What the app stores
Your choices (what you kept or marked to delete), file sizes, the visual fingerprints used to spot duplicates, your history of cleans and your settings are saved in the app’s private storage on your device. They are never sent to us. They are removed when you delete the app.
What leaves your phone
Nothing about you or your photos is sent to us or to anyone else, and OnceSwipe contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting software. The one network request it makes is a check for app updates: at launch it asks Expo’s update service (EAS Update, operated by 650 Industries, Inc.) whether a newer version of the app’s code is available. That request carries only technical details needed to deliver the right update (the app version, platform, update channel and a random installation identifier created by the update system) and nothing from your photo library or about you.
- If you use iCloud Photos, Apple may download an original from iCloud when you open it full screen or compress it. That is handled by Apple’s Photos system under Apple’s privacy policy.
- Deleting a photo in OnceSwipe deletes it from your library. With iCloud Photos or Google Photos sync, that deletion syncs to your other devices, as it would from the Photos or Gallery app.
- Purchases, downloads and app ratings are handled by the App Store or Google Play under Apple’s or Google’s privacy policies. We do not receive your payment details.
Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Photos and videos | To show, review, delete and compress items in your library, on the device. |
| Photo location (Android) | So a compressed copy keeps the place it was taken. Read on the device only; never sent anywhere. |
| Notifications (optional) | To show reminders you turn on. Off until you allow it. |
Notifications
If you turn them on, reminders are scheduled and shown by your phone. They are created on the device from your own numbers. No notification is sent from a server.
Sharing and selling
We do not collect personal data, so we do not share, sell or rent it, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking across apps or websites.
Your rights
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. Everything OnceSwipe stores is on your phone, under your control. See Your data and deletion for how to remove it.
Children
OnceSwipe is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
